Welcome to Soumyatha Memorial U.P School We are an Aided Govt. School located in Chaniyamkadavu. We are established in 1880 and continuing our immense service to all the people located in our locality. We are providing better education and facilities for all kind of people. We have a good team of New and experienced Teachers who are well qualified and willing to work hard for the education of our students. We are looking to make this institution one of the best in our locality and we are getting good response from the people of Chaniyamkadavu.


Soumyatha Memorial U.P School is under the Management of the Chaloth family located in Chaniyamkadavu. Mr. Sathyan Chaloth is our founder and the Co-foundress is Mrs. Vilassini Sathyan. Our vision is to educate poor people and empower them.

By the next three years, the school will create an environment to enhance extra reading among students and make them aware about the changes among them.

Through the years we have evolved ourselves to not only to fulfill our vision but also to realize the aim of this institution which is therefore not merely to impart a secular education but also to inculcate spiritual and moral values in the minds of the pupils. We believe that ‘Good education is joint efforts of the school and the home.’ Moreover we give equal importance to virtue and science as well.
